Sport and Physical Education

All children are encouraged to participate actively in sporting activities organised by our school. Formal swimming instruction is provided for all primary classes as a part of the school physical education program. All children are expected to participate in these.

The Sports Houses are Cana (Purple), Jordan (Orange), Tabor (Green) and Galilee (Yellow).

Keppel Coast District Sport

The Keppel Coast District Primary School Sports Management Committee manages the sports carnivals and gala days for the all primary schools on the Capricorn Coast, activities include:

  • Cross country and athletics carnivals:

    • athletes selected from these participate in the Rockhampton district school sports​

  • Gala days:

    • Term 2 - Netball, Rugby League and Flag Footy​

    • Term 3 - Touch, Soccer and Tee-ball

Rockhampton District School Sport

Capricornia School Sport Region established in 1979, extends from Miriam Vale in the south; to the Callide Valley and Central Highlands in the west; to Mackay and Northern Districts including Pindi Pindi in the north and the Capricorn Coast in the east.

 

The Capricornia School Sport Board is responsible for the administration and implementation of school sport in the Central Queensland Region. Our region comprises of 4 sporting districts from more than 230 primary and secondary schools.
